We here at Erobeat, make every attempt to release to make sure our releases are of the highest possible quality. Scripts need to be edited, checked, and we would not release anything until we had the highest quality video source available. The problem is that, these things take time… Far too much time.

As the group grew, so did our ambition. In our endless pursuit for perfection, we have fallen behind on the overwhelmingly high number of projects undertaken. Sure, there’s school and stuff that keeps many of us busy, but falling behind puts a large drain of my motivation to continue.

Slow releases were acceptable when we were the only ones around, but that is no longer the case. Fansubbing in this area has become increasingly competitive, and our flaws have given rise to new entrants to fill the void. In order for us to remain compeitive, something needs to happen.

tl;dr: It is time for change. Quality matters, but so does speed.

I hereby announce that for most new series we will:

1) Get it done.
2) Get it done quickly.
3) Fix it later.

From now on, many new releases will be speedsubbed and tagged with [LQ]. LQ releases will skip the lengthy editing and quality check phases. Low quality internet RAWs will be used. By doing this, we can ensure that we release at super-human speed. We will then do a proper release some weeks later once we obtain the DVDs or Blu-Rays.

Why download someone else’s release and replace it with ours later? You now have the pleasure to download ours twice if you want speed, but also a high quality version for safe keeping.

By the way, we will work on (almost) all the new stuff from now on.
